Community Guidelines

Foster a Welcoming and Inclusive Community

In every online community there is a quiet majority, and a vocal minority. And typically, its the vocal minority is usually quick to comment their thoughts and opinions as soon as it manifests in their brain. As always, it is important to follow a basic code of conduct when having any sort of discussion:

  • Respect and kindness are essential in all interactions.
  • Avoid sharing harmful or inappropriate content.
  • Protect privacy by not disclosing personal information.
  • Engage constructively to support positive discussions.

Community Guidelines Overview

Explore our inclusive guidelines crafted to maintain a respectful and welcoming space for all community members.

What behavior is expected from community members?

We encourage respectful, constructive interactions that foster a positive environment for everyone. This blog is going to have my own personal opinions and experiences of course, and if you disagree with my takes that is 100% okay and I even encourage you to discuss in the comments your POV or any information I probably am missing. But any baseless claims, hateful comments, or discourse towards me or anyone else is forbidden. It is possible to completely disagree with someone and still have a respectful and informative discussion.

Freedom of discussion is extremely important to me. However, unproductive and harmful arguments are not only off topic but do not foster a positive environment and all will be deleted. This is not a bannable offence unless any inappropriate content was included.

How do you handle inappropriate content?

Content that violates our guidelines will be promptly removed to keep the community safe. You may contact me directly at contact@astrunium.net to flag inappropriate content. This includes but not limited to the use of racial, homophobic, ableist or sexist slurs, NSFW/obscene content and or dangerous links. If you are caught participating in any of the following you will be banned as it is clear you are incapable of protecting and helping this positive community grow.

What is Peyton’s Online Community Philosophy?

There are millions of online communities and they all come in many colors, shapes and forms. Personally, my favorite communities make me feel included, safe, and comfortable. No one wants to stick around in a place that doesn’t meet one of those three criteria. I feel now a days the meaning of community has changed a lot.

A long time ago, my family had just moved into a new neighborhood and the night we finally got settled in I remember neighbors ringing our door bell bringing food and deserts, welcoming us and introducing themselves. There was nothing more comforting and inclusive I’ve ever experienced in my entire life than that. Now a days, we’ve become so much closer online and yet so much further in real life. So it is always important to remember, we are all different, we come from all walks of life, but within community we are united and we can all find a common ground. Be kind, courteous, and courageous!
